Tackle your most complex challenges with driven and ambitious Stanford students.
We're a group of students and faculty from Stanford who are creating a new way for you to work with students.
Design Summer is where you can share your most sticky, hairy, complex challenges and give students up to 12 weeks to help you make progress. Once you post a project, you'll be able to connect with and vet the student(s) who best fit the challenge. There’s no cost to you except to compensate the students for their time (hourly, stipend, etc) and the rate is up to you.
Our students have not only been studying design and problem solving in all forms, but they’re also part of a new pilot program focused on strengthening their abilities in storytelling, self-awareness, career navigation, and community building.
It takes less than 2 minutes to post a summer project and you can post as many you'd like.
More Info & Past Examples
It's 2020. The world has been turned upside down. For students, gaining work experiences feels harder than ever. How do you find companies that are still working with students? How do you make the most of this new "remote learning" era? How do you navigate finding meaningful projects or internships throughout the year and this summer?
If you have any of these questions, you're in the right place. In response to COVID-19, Design Summer is pivoting to a 1-credit class, a "portal" with a growing list of open jobs/internships, and a list of over 200 alums interested in supporting your growth. We're supporting students as who are interested in creating a meaningful 2020/2021 school year & summer.
Here you will learn:
+ How to build (or rebuild) your resume and LinkedIn
+ How to interview well
+ How to reflect on your path and plan what's next with confidence
Classes will take place from 6pm-7:30pm PDT on October 7th, October 14th, October 28th, November 11th, and December 5th.
