Tackle your most complex challenges with driven and ambitious Stanford students.
We're a group of students and faculty from Stanford who are creating a new way for you to work with students.
Design Summer is where you can share your most sticky, complex or even newly discovered Covid-19 challenges and give students the opportunity to help you in 2 to 12 weeks.
Once you post a project, you'll be able to remotely connect with and vet the student(s) who best fit the challenge. There’s no cost to you except to compensate the students for their time (hourly, stipend, etc) and the rate is up to you.
Our students have not only been studying design and problem solving in all forms, but they’re also part of a new pilot program focused on strengthening their abilities in storytelling, self-awareness, career navigation, and community building.
It takes less than 2 minutes to post a summer project and you can post as many you'd like.
More Info & Past Examples
Over the past year, the world has been turned upside down. Now as we prepare for a summer of "hybrid" work and learning, what does "gaining experience" look like? How might you connect with employers or design your own projects to expand your skills and community?
Design Summer is hosting a special 90-minute pop-up workshop to help you think about these questions and more. Together, we'll discuss how you might share your story, connect with employers, and land your next meaningful experience. At the end, you'll gain access to a "portal" with a growing list of open jobs/internships, and alums interested in supporting your growth.
The workshop will take place on April 21st, 6pm-7:30pm. And it will be mandatory to attend the entire experience to gain access to the portal.
This workshop is open to any current or upcoming PD Student.
*Registration will close on Tuesday, April 20th.
